Dannevirke to Palmerston North

Cosy little A-Frame for 5 of us at the Dannevirke Holiday Park.
The park has a few animals, and an aviary, as well as campers.
Leaving Dannevirke, there was some mist hanging around and it was quite foggy approaching Woodville.
That's the southern end of the Ruahine Range in the background.

We stopped, just before climbing Saddle Road up to the wind farm, to
consider the beauty - or otherwise - of wind turbines.

Then we were over the top and in to the home stretch. That's Palmerston North in the distance.
While we were having lunch at Ashhurst, Chad kept us entertained on the half-pipe.
Then JB wanted a go.
(I think he needed trainer wheels.)

After lunch in a park, these four could not keep away from coffee.
And so another successful ACTA tour is over. We had a great ride, covering about 900km in our 13 riding days. JB and David did more
as they were the only two to ride over the Rimutakas. We stayed in some great accomodation and were blown away by the hospitality
we were given. Thanks to all the good folk of the Wairarapa and Tararua Districts who made our
tour so enjoyable and memorable.
