The small print on this board says the discharge ranges from 7 to 21 m3, the temperature stays at
a constant 11.7°C, and the underground reservoir has about twice the volume of Lake Rotorua.

Brilliant!! Narrow road ahead, so you push a big red button as you cycle
past and light up the flashing sign.

The sign said "Golden Bay Lookout" - but that was a bit of an overstatement.

Mussel Inn - the food sign and the cycle helmet were a clear indication
that there were friends nearby.

The decor at The Mussel Inn was very inviting.

Taking in the view outside Farewell Gardens Motor Camp while waiting for the bus
to take us back to Pakawau for dinner.

The bus arrives, and we pile in.

Some started their drinks out here, but it soon became uncomfortably chilly.

So we moved inside and had dinner. A very yummy dinner!
