ACTA Supported tour: Options for November 2019

Please respond asap!!

The tour planning group would like members to indicate their preference for the 2019 November supported tour.

Please email Louise at info@climbingjack.com or 021 268 1155 for more information.

  1. East Cape  – last toured in 2014. Includes Opotiki cycle trails, East Cape Lighthouse, Gisborne, Matawai and Motu Road.
  2. Upper South Island –   based on Garth’s 2017 winter solstice trip which started in Nelson and included parts of the Nelson great taste trail, Takaka Hill, Collingwood, Whanganui Inlet and a trip to Farewell Spit.

We will be needing organisers for whatever tour is preferred – it will not proceed without members to volunteer. Some of the tour planning group will be overseas this year on a range of cycling adventures so are unavailable for planning the ‘domestic’ tour season. There is lots of support available and Annette and Louise have plenty of previous information about both these tour options.

Thanks,

Louise

HIGHLIGHTS IF JAPAN TRIP: 6 – 17 May 2019: PLACE AVAILABLE

Message from Margaret:

I have booked myself on one of Thomas trips ‘Highlights of Japan’  6 – 17 May 2019.  These trips full up quickly. I booked six months ago and got last place on this trip.

Due to a knee injury that requires surgery soon I now cannot go on this trip.

Is there anyone in ACTA that would like to take my place.  Cost of trips is around $4000 nzd depending on whether you take your own bike. plus two or three hotel nights, plus airfares.

I have heard wonderful reports from our fellow ACTA members of these Japan Cycling Trips by Thomas.

Please contact me by email margaret.j.law@gmail or text me on 021 2554124 if you are interested, so that we can sort with Thomas. Thank you.
